Employment: Monday Friday between the hours of 8:00 am 4:30 pm: 4 Positions Apr 1 - Apr 5
5-6 Positions Jun 24 - Jul 7 (except Jul 4th) 5-6 Positions Aug 1 - Aug 30

Summary/Objective: As a Caregiver you will assist in providing for the well-being and direct care needs of children with developmental disabilities. Includes sensory activities Legos, Building Block Tower, Ocean in a Bottle, Stained Glass Sidewalk Chalk, Movie and other activities such as Salt Art, Basketball, Blow Art Monsters, Marshmallow/Pic Challenge, Balloon Tennis, Making Puffy Paint, Barn Rec, Nature Walk and Camp Fire.

Requirements: 1. High School Diploma or GED preferred. 2. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. 3. Experience implementing recreational activities for individuals of all ages and abilities. 4. Valid and clean New York State Drivers License. 5. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. 6. Ability to become CPR and first aid certified and successfully complete all agency training/orientation requirements. 7. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout Monroe County. 8. Ability to work independently and motivate others.

Essential Functions: 1. Imparts agency philosophy of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence to individuals, families, program staff and community resources. 2. Maintains confidentiality of information relating to individuals and their families in accordance with agency policy. 3. Functions as a positive, contributing member of the program team; ensures a safe, supportive, and positive environment for all individuals.
4. Provides supports to meet the needs of the individuals including, but is not limited to: personal care, behavioral monitoring/support, meal preparation, and supervision. 5. Engages the individuals in structured and individually chosen activities (i.e., arts & crafts, outdoor play, games, community trips, etc.).
6. Serves as an appropriate role model and engages in interactions which promote and ensure the dignity and rights of all participants.
7. Act as a professional representative of CP Rochester in regards to appearance, behavior, temperament, communication, language and dress. 8. Completes required documentation as defined by the program or department. 9. Adheres to the agencys policies and procedures as well as department guidelines. 10. Performs other duties at the discretion of the Program Director or his/her designee.
