In support of this vision, the domain analyst position will see you provide deep insights, lead the team’s data strategy and program, and bring market perspectives to senior EY partners, identifying opportunities for EY products and services and mentoring more junior analysts to develop their commercial and analytic skills.

The opportunity:

The Americas Domain Analyst is a highly experienced Assistant Director who can engage strategically, confidentially, and influentially with stakeholders in a growing portfolio of priorities. They will be responsible for providing impactful analysis and insight to EY's Americas leadership team and practitioners to support their growth and market strategy, business development, service delivery and external market positioning efforts for high growth programs.

In this role you will combine strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset with real-world perspectives driven by an understanding of client issues, cross-sector trends, and broader marketplace drivers. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future efforts of EY Knowledge by leading a robust data program.

You will have a key role to play in supporting EY’s Americas leadership, connecting and collaborating across other industries and across all service lines to further strengthen the quality of your insights.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing deep analytical insight and understanding of the outward trends and signals shaping business, the economy and markets, and society with responsibility for the execution of strategic and complex initiatives in accordance with the annually created knowledge plan.

  • Engaging with and challenging senior leaders and stakeholders to provide commercial and provocative perspectives on the issues, challenges and opportunities facing the market.

  • Responsible for leading data program, leveraging appropriate techniques such as data flow diagrams, data mining and data modelling techniques to gather, analyze, and report internal and external data to drive market strategy, enhance go-to-market efforts, and support leadership decisions.

  • Developing and co-creating insights beyond publicly available information, collaborating with Knowledge colleagues, account teams, service line colleagues, clients and external networks to incorporate proprietary knowledge and, where possible, developing proprietary data sets to evidence a differentiated point of view.

  • Applying strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive market strategy, investment decisions, shape go-to-market activities, and develop leading insights from the Americas leadership down to the account level.

  • Drive qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform internal strategic decisions and enable new service offerings/growth platforms.

  • Understanding of the professional services marketplace, perform competitive intelligence on a regular basis to understand EY’s position in the market and identify whitespace.

  • Lead projects in multidisciplinary teams to deliver specific projects often working virtually across service lines and geographies.

Desired expertise in data strategy, analytics, and technical skills in multiple of the following areas is preferred:

  • Have deep analytic capabilities leveraging data and analytics in support of EY’s Americas go-to-market strategy

  • Succinct and structured oral and written communications skills with proven ability to explain complex concepts in a crisp, clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and data visualization tools (Power BI/Spotfire/Tableau)

You’ll be a seasoned analyst who has a deep understanding and experience of the issues, trends and drivers in the Americas business environment and across sectors. You will have a commercial outlook and enjoy collaborating with colleagues across the globe in a multicultural and virtual environment.

You will be known for your big picture thinking and ability to explain complex concepts in a crisp, clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools.

To qualify for the role, you must:

  • Have 6+ years’ experience in driving market intelligence, thought leadership, and knowledge programs

  • Have succinct and structured oral and written communications skills with proven ability to explain complex concepts in a crisp, clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and data visualization tools (Power BI / Spotfire / Tableau)

  • Have deep analytic capabilities leveraging data and analytics in support of EY’s Americas go-to-market strategy

  • Have strong commercial acumen, connecting marketplace opportunities to EY’s products and services

  • Have experience in interacting with senior business leaders, leading conversations and offering differentiating perspectives

  • Be a team player who strives to create better outcomes for the team by leveraging everyone’s abilities.

  • Demonstrate interview skills / elicitation, data story-telling and financial analysis capabilities

  • Have a willingness to innovate and be a change agent, challenging existing ways of delivering insight
