Berkshire Bank Cash Management Administrator in Albany, New York

The Cash Management Administrator (CMA) supports the Cash Management/Municipal team, as well as the Commercial Banking Department, with primary responsibility to ensure all commercial banking accounts are opened correctly and efficiently through the Retail Branch Network, coded to the proper officer and according to bank policies and procedures. Work directly with commercial relationship managers in Asset Based Lending, Business Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Mid-Market and Cash Management on account opening and cash management service set-ups. Assist with daily cash management needs of the commercial, small business and retail cash management customers. CMA provides superior customer service, support and customer resolution for all cash management client needs. Recommends effective strategies and identifies cross selling opportunities to existing clients. Performs some daily cash management operational tasks for the client, if needed. Works with other members of the cash management team, commercial lending, small business, and branch staff to provide quality customer service to ensure banking needs are met and relationships are being developed and solidified, thus providing the customer with a great overall experience.

The CMA may prepare agreements, contracts and set up forms for all the cash management clients and is responsible for a successful and seamless implementation of all cash management services. The CMA will assist the Cash Management Operations Officer (CMOO) with the operational set up of analysis accounts, line of credit sweeps, interest bearing sweeps and zero balance accounts. The CMA will have a high working knowledge of XAA account analysis system and become intimately involved in other duties and tasks as outlined by the CMOO.

The CMA is responsible for assisting Director of Government & Cash Management with special projects, as needed.

Key Accountabilities:

Provides a superior level of customer service for all type of cash management needs consisting of business sweep, ACH origination, electronic wires, internet banking, account transfers, merchant services, lockbox, and all other types of services. Provides account opening services and account maintenance for ABL, BB, CRE and MM customers, working through the branch network across the footprint. Sets up sweep services and accounts for analysis.

Prepares all necessary agreements/forms associated with a new set up for cash management. Obtains agreements, reviews, and submits or implements new services, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.


BA degree in business administration preferred or equivalent work experience.


3+ years seasoned customer service

Cash Management, IBS and XAA experience a plus
