Essential to the Business Developer’s success and growth is the need to sell Guidehouse solutions into the Payor – Provider healthcare marketplace. This will require the Business Developer to collaborate closely with the Healthcare Commercial Solution Leaders (SLs), Region Market Leaders (RMLs), as well as other Partners and Directors within the HealthCare practice and firm. Business Developers are required to be active within their assigned markets which includes acquiring specific account, client, and market knowledge in order to execute the sales/pursuit process and assume their core sales leadership roles and responsibilities.
For example, BDs must perform the following: • A current and relevant understanding of healthcare commercial market, target Account’s major or critical engagements and leadership. This includes key engagements, growth or ‘seed’ tasks engineered for dramatic growth or strategic placement, luminaries, consultants, resourcing needs, solutions, pipeline analytics, annual goals, etc.; • Be familiar with existing account pursuit plans, gate reviews, competitive landscape, and differentiation strategy, and fiscal year growth goals; • Document expectations/goals for each target account as assigned; • Identify, lead, and support account new business opportunities and related to payor-provider level business development and marketing initiatives; • Acquire, maintain, and market information relevant our markets and/or clients to assure existing and evolving business issues, policies, trends, buying profiles, etc. that help assure GH’s presence and awareness across key markets; • Engage in continuous education of his/her understanding of the Practice’s/Account’s capabilities (e.g. by attending relevant training, webcasts and conference calls on new services and marketing campaigns); • Coordinate with delivery teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other resources as appropriate to achieve account/deal penetration, radiation, and profitable margin growth as well as engage and develop new client development. • Participate in the client contracting process and through engagement delivery and beyond; • Ensure the crediting and governance process is timely originated, communicated, and completed. • Build, balance, and manage pipeline opportunities timely and effectively in order to achieve prescribed annual sales goals.
• Strong executive presence and professional image and presentation (advanced use of Microsoft tools) • Demonstrated expertise understanding of the challenges of the healthcare industry and the essential elements of transforming it to meet those challenges. • 10 years in healthcare systems / experience • Excellent c-suite level relationships / rolodex • Demonstrated success with Client Relationships and Business Development.
• Able to travel per client and organizational demands (travel ranges from 25% to 50%). • Graduate of an accredited four year college; MBA preferred
