Minimum Qualifications Thirty (30) semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries, marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture; marine biology; aquaculture; aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology; marine technology; botany; limnology; hydrology; or oceanography.

Duties Description Answer calls from the general public regarding the deer management permit (DMP) application process, including providing information on Wildlife Management Unit boundaries, odds of receiving DMPs and the eligibilities impacting selection. Incumbent will also assist with correcting erroneously issued DMPs. Answer calls and emails from the general public related to sporting license issuance and hunting, trapping and fishing rules and regulations. Data entry and licensing database management. Assist with testing of online and mobile app licensing functionalities to confirm customers have easy access to sporting licenses and game harvest reporting tools, as well as to ensure they are working in compliance with environmental conservation laws. Assist fisheries and game management staff with conducting management surveys and compiling and summarizing results. Compile data and assist with the design and distribution of outreach material to inform constituents of upcoming regulatory or functionality changes that impact upcoming hunting, trapping and license seasons.

Additional Comments Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Travel may be required. Overtime may be required.
