What You Will Do :

As a Provider Enterprise Solution Senior Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work across medical groups, CINs/ACOs, and innovative primary care practices to achieve growth objectives and operational improvement as a stand-alone medical group or in connection with health systems. You will be a member of our Healthcare Strategy Solutions practice and part of a team responsible for solving the most complex and strategic issues faced by hospitals, health systems, and medical groups. Typically, Senior Consultants receive exposure to a broad range of healthcare projects, including: Provider Enterprise strategic planning, value based care readiness, physician/hospital alignment, practice operations improvement, and Health System Provider Enterprise operating model design. You will be working on a variety of small project teams at the office providing regular mentorship from seasoned Guidehouse Consultants as well as some work at clients allowing you access to senior client executives.


  • Assist seasoned consultants in developing project approach, strategies, and work plans.

  • Perform detailed, quantitative analysis; build Excel models; and prepare operational and financial projections.

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews.

  • Conduct practice site visits, focused on identifying opportunities for operational efficiency

  • Supply data and/or quantitative info. that develops project findings and recommendations.

  • Prepare project materials and reports.

  • Work with the larger teams and as well as take the lead on presentation of final deliverables that go to client sponsors.

  • Assist in design and implementation of recommended solutions.

  • Work with several project teams and Guidehouse Associate Directors and Executives.

  • Effectively communicate with Guidehouse management and client staff.

What You Will Need :

  • Master’s degree in business or health administration and/or master’s degree in a health-related field preferred; bachelor’s degree from accredited university in business or engineering required and in a health-related field preferred

  • 3+ years of applicable professional experience (e.g., practice management/ hospital administration/operations and/or healthcare consulting experience)

  • Experience working with multispecialty medical groups, and ACOs/CINs

  • Experience developing analytical models and structuring methodologies

  • Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills (financial modeling/planning skills a Plus)

  • Demonstrated management of smaller work streams or deliverables

  • Advanced Excel expertise

  • Demonstrated PPT skills

  • Ability to travel

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Experience in value-based payment arrangements such as Medicare Advantage/Managed Care, risk contracting, shared savings arrangements, and/or post acute care consulting.

  • Significant knowledge of the healthcare industry

  • Track record of strong client service

  • Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects

  • Additional qualifications include efficiency, flexibility, innovative problem solving skills, a high level of motivation, and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to work well independently and within team structures

The annual salary range for this position is $82,400.00-$164,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
