Duties Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:As a member of the network team, incumbents of this position will play a key role in maintaining the network to meet the essential business needs of the agency. Duties include but are not limited to:• Configuring, Installing Routers/Switches/UPS lead battery packs• Telephony – configuring voicemail, phones; PBX, Call Center, Interactive Voice Response• WAN/LAN Support• Running/testing/troubleshooting network cabling – Copper and fiber• Troubleshooting application and network faults• IT vendor relations • Scripting#li-dni

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:• Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State.• Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program) or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program.• Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent.• Must be able to work at least part-time summer (10-15 hours per week, with the opportunity to work fall and spring depending on availability); full-time summer hours preferred.Preferred Qualifications:• Preferred Major(s): Computer Networking, Infrastructure Engineering, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity.Please be advised that the New York State Insurance Fund does not offer sponsorship for employment visas to employees or potential employees.
