About Datacenter Platform Architecture Team: The datacenter platform architecture team at Intel is seeking a seasoned System or Platform Technologist to define and lead our strategies where AI & HPC intercept the Xeon roadmap. This technologist will lead the industry through the next series of critical technological inflection point which will include blending AI, Accelerators with innovative platform solutions that address the expanding, and complex, demand for memory, IO, and performance per watt leadership. The team has one focus at Intel: The relentless pursuit of high quality Data Center architecture innovations to satisfy the needs of next generation of datacenter infrastructure influenced by the demands of the cloud scale deployments. This dynamic role will involve direct working relationships with Intel senior management and the technical community at Intel and the industry with immense opportunity for rapid learning experience and personal growth.

About the Role: An Intel Fellow is the highest technical position in the company and is responsible for setting the technical direction of the company. Responsibilities include: Guides or leads Intel in new technical directions – predicting and innovating systems of tomorrow – while addressing the toughest challenges of today. Proposes new areas for development based on extremely advanced technical judgment and knowledge of Intel's interests role model and mentor for less senior technical contributors. May represent Intel as a technical advisor or spokesman on external activities.

Appointment to this level is approved by DCAI Fellow committee and approved by Sandra Rivera. The ideal candidate for this role has demonstrated a track record for innovating and developing power efficient datacenter systems without compromising quality. Collaborate with domain experts across Intel and in the industry to study the fast-evolving datacenter architecture and define roadmaps and strategies leading to power efficient datacenters. Innovate new concepts and drive new features leading to world class Perf/W solutions ensuring best Total Cost Ownership (TCO) for our customers. Help set the direction of the architecture requirements as a Lead System Engineering work to maintain close proximity between the future and the present. Helping ensure that we realize and deliver on our end-to-end strategy. Collaborate with experts in the industry to develop common industry standard technologies relevant for future datacenter architecture. Proactively identify and resolve problems upstream.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters in Computer Architecture or Electrical Engineering or related field with 15+ years of experience or PhD degree in Computer Architecture/Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience.

  • 15+ years of experience in SoC or platform architecture with 5+ years of experience in datacenter architecture and power management.

  • 8+ years of experience datacenter Quality, HW, SW, and validation.

  • 5+ years of experience in Datacenter workloads, usage models and deployment models.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Data Center TCO/OpX and sustainability including embedded carbon and PUE optimizations.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $222,480.00-$400,720.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
