Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of buying/purchasing tasks involving materials, supplies, or services through use of purchase orders and subcontracts/modifications.

  • Review purchase requisitions, and places orders with approved suppliers.

  • Evaluate bids, select and/or recommend suppliers and negotiate price, delivery, quality and service.

  • Assist in negotiations for major purchases by developing or compiling statistical information and gathering other data as required.

  • Coordinate with the accounting department as required to resolve questions on suppliers’ invoices.

  • Demonstrate proven extensive ability to conduct large/complex procurements for Guidehouse contracts/services with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience as a procurement professional in either the Federal government or commercial marketplace

  • Associates Degree

    Knowledge Preferred:

    Demonstrates proven knowledge of the following:

  • Performing cradle to grave procurement administration functions.

  • Demonstrates experience issuing requests for proposals, analyzing comparative costs submitted by vendors, and providing recommendations based on the best value to an organization.

  • Reviewing and processing requisitions to ensure timely order submission and negotiating costs, delivery schedules and contract terms.

  • Demonstrates market research skills pertaining to the public sector and/or commercial marketplace.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently within a fast-paced environment, including a proven record of success with the following:

  • Effective customer service orientation and organization skills while paying close attention to detail

  • Utilization of proactive listening and interpersonal skills to maintain a high level of productivity in an environment that places high priority upon success-driven teamwork

  • Verbal and written communications expressed in a clear and concise manner, including the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite to draft and review documents, analyze data, and prepare related presentations.

    Additional Preferred Skills:

    The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of Federal procurement laws and regulations and procurement trends including:

  • FAR and GSA schedule acquisition methods and related procurement standards;

  • FAR and DFARs requirements regarding Contractor Purchasing System Administration;

  • FFP and T&M contract types

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.

This position is open to candidates virtually from Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Arizona or Eastern, Pacific, Central, and Aleutian time zones.
