Responsibilities
This individual will support a Proposal Manager with proposal development activities, team communications, and document control to control the proposal development process. In addition, this individual may also manage small proposals and RFI responses.
Determines style, techniques and medium best suited to produce desired effects and conform with production requirements, or may receive specific instructions regarding these variables
Supervises the proposal publication process, including word processing, graphics, desktop publishing, and production for draft and final proposal production of all assigned proposals
Develops and updates plans, schedules, materials, and files; coordinates with other process specialists; helps with reviews
Coordinates graphics, desktop publishing, proofreading, and production support for all assigned proposals
Discusses graphics and text requirements at various stages of completion and makes necessary changes as determined by customer
Proofs work to minimize errors; reworks errors
Prepares and maintains proposal schedules and workspace
Creates cross reference matrixes, work packages, forms, and outlines
Performs compliance checks
Assists Proposal Managers in development and update of Proposal Management Plans as assigned
Assists proposal team members in use of the proposal template
Prepares archives of proposals following final submission
Maintains security and integrity of file proposal structure
Controls the distribution of proposals and related documents
Must be able to work extended hours, often with short notice, to meet deadlines. Extended hours may include late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
Demonstrate ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with attention to detail
Manages small proposals and RFI responses as required.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience working on proposals for U.S. Federal or State/Local Government contracts.
Preferred APMP Certification and experience with Shipley Proposal Processes
Advanced skill level with MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Desired Skills:
Experience with Commercial Proposals
Skill level with Excel
Expert skill level with Adobe Acrobat Professional
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
Salary range: $75,000-$95,000 dependent upon experience
