Guidehouse’s Public Sector Financial Services is seeking a Data Analytics - Consultant to join our team. This position requires the candidate to perform research and analysis, critical thinking and support end-to-end project delivery. The candidate will work on a team of experienced staff to provide consulting services to government agencies that require strategic alignment. As a Consultant on the team, you will work closely with senior staff to support task orders, presentation materials, and draft discussion papers. Work products are expected to be high-quality. Consultants also support sales initiatives.
Support finance projects by assisting clients in making important business decisions by maintaining and enhancing various financial/economic models, performing risk analytics and modeling research
Tasks may include meeting with stakeholders, documenting processes, performing research and analysis, and presenting analysis updates to team and/or client.
Detailed oriented, and develops high-quality work products
Convey ideas clearly in an oral and written manner, both one-on-one and in small groups
Collaborate across multiple work streams to leverage work and supporting evidence
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, business/data analytics, or relevant field
1+ years’ experience in a relevant field
1+ years’ programming experience using SAS
1+ years’ experience in data analytics
Excellent communication and writing skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Finance and/or economics experience, in the application of statistical methods with a large amount of economic and loan performance data
Consulting/client service experience
Knowledge of federal government environment
Other programming experience using STATA, R, Python or MATLAB
Master’s degree in statistics, business/data analytics, or relevant field

This role is available virtually from PST, CST or EST time zones. Strong preference will be given to candidates local to Washington, DC
