Job Summary:

The Sales Rep manages a customer base consisting of Hospitals, Nursing homes, independent stores, chain drug & C-Stores, Mass Merchandise stores, Dairy and Broadline Distributors, etc located inside of a designated region and is responsible for increasing profits by reducing waste and increasing overall volume within existing customer base. Secure new customers.

We are currently seeking a Sales Rep to cover our Albany NY territory which includes Central to Western NY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

\* Provide outstanding customer service.
\* Maintain regular contact with existing and potential customers.
\* Coach customers and provides sales analysis, channel trends, product trends, pricing forecasts, provide merchandising & product placement concepts, resolve problems/conflicts, become a trusted advisor.
\* Perform business reviews offering written recommendations with Key Customers.
\* Develop strategy and provide direction to Hood team for Key Customers.
\* Present the Company's new item innovation to all direct and retail customers.
\* Communicate Hood branded promotional activities with all direct retail accounts.
\* Rotate and fill shelves. Reset coolers as needed.
\* Maintain effective relationships with various Hood departments including, distribution, AR, Pricing, Credit.
\* Sell within established pricing & promotional guidelines.
\* Sell seasonal products and line extensions...Close distribution voids.
\* Communicate current market activities and competitive strategies to Management.
\* Complete surveys as needed.
\* Attend various trade-related functions.

Education and Experience:

\* Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
\* Minimum 2- 5 years field sales experience with consumer products

Skills and Competencies:

\* Excellent computer skills
\* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
\* Strong attention to detail
\* Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and work inside coolers for extended period of time
\* Ability to move milk dollies and pallets inside coolers
