BECOME A SEASONAL DEICER SUPERVISOR AT PRIMEFLIGHT!

Our Seasonal Deicer Supervisor works closely with our General Manager to ensure optimal performance of our deicing operations. You'll oversee daily activities, manage workforce planning, and implement safety protocols. In this role, you'll supervise our frontline team, provide safety training, and serve as the primary liaison for our customers. Your responsibilities will include maintaining work quality standards, ensuring accurate record-keeping, assisting in recruitment and hiring, and addressing customer complaints with effective solutions. You must also be available for on-call shifts during severe weather, demonstrating your commitment to safety and operational excellence.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A SEASONAL DEICER SUPERVISOR

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams toward a common goal

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop, implement, and maintain workforce planning, workflow, and process management to ensure optimal deicing operations

  • Supervise day-to-day operations, providing leadership and support to the deicing team

  • Conduct safety training for all employees, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and programs

  • Work alongside deicing employees to assist in operations and demonstrate effective supervisory skills

  • Review and complete all relevant reports for accuracy and timeliness.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of processes aimed at improving operations and safety

  • Act as the primary interface with customers, alongside the General Manager, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns

  • Manage deicing activities to meet established work quality standards

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all required record-keeping

  • Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring process for new staff members

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance at the job location

  • Be available for on-call shifts during severe weather and non-operational months

  • Communicate performance expectations and company initiatives regularly to employees

  • Assist in developing and delivering performance reviews, providing ongoing feedback to enhance employee morale and performance

  • Address and resolve customer complaints by developing, implementing, and communicating a corrective action plan

  • Oversee inventory management and maintain vendor relations to ensure supply availability

  • Brings their “A” game every day with energy and enthusiasm, respect for their team, and the highest regard for safety

  • May be assigned other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • One year of Management/Supervisor experience required

  • Prior aircraft deicing experience required

  • Fleet maintenance and mechanical knowledge is a plus

  • Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents

  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices

  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means

  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)

  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
