iCIMS Senior Instructional Designer in Albany, New York

Job Overview As a Sr. Instructional Designer, you’ll be responsible for creating content and managing the production of eLearning and virtual blended training solutions from start to finish. in this role, you will design, develop, and implement training solutions for a variety of iCIMS products and services for Customers and Partners as well as internal teams. Responsibilities Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques to solve business problems, and at the same time, networks and partners with internal stakeholders and leaders ensuring alignment Performs work without appreciable direction and as part of a team having the ability to lead, mentor and influence less experienced team members Ensures all instructional design interventions align to a set of pre-defined objectives and in a format digestible for technical and non-technical audiences Seasoned knowledge of instructional design research and process. Able to apply detailed integration of concepts, techniques, and theory of other disciplines to problems of learning, facilitation, and instructional design. Manage multiple instructional design projects and programs from inception to completion, including project management, partnering with training resources, and scope management Develops solutions to complex problems leveraging ingenuity and innovation Maintains a high-level awareness of current trends and technologies and that innovation to new and current content using a variety of collection tools and evaluation methods Conducts Needs Assessments and Gap Analysis and describes a particular problem and its dimensions, identifying the deltas between current and desired performance and business results Demonstrated experience with Kirkpatrick L1-L4 evaluation techniques as it relates to the ongoing assessment of training needs and products – presents results to a wide range of stakeholders including at the Executive level Works on problems of diverse scope where detailed analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors Partners with stakeholders and manager to help determine strategies for ongoing training solutions that align with business initiatives Qualifications 7+ years’ proven Instructional systems design (ISD) experience with strong proficiency in eLearning and creation of highly interactive web-based solutions Demonstrated experience using established methodologies in all stages of the instructional design process, includes needs assessment, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation Experience with blended learning and virtual training environments Working knowledge of publishing content to one or more Learning Management Systems (LMS) A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of all areas of instructional design – from Instructor led (virtual, blended and in-person) to webinars, videos, and interactive web-based training Demonstrated proficiency designing interactive training using authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Canvas, HTML based applications Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, and influencing skills Clearly and concisely conveys training content in a highly interactive manner, both orally and in writing, to individuals and groups ensuring understanding of the topic in hand Exceptional client relationship skills and demonstrated experience developing consultative relationships at all levels Strong quality assurance and editing skills Strong ability to community effectively in visual, oral, and written form to all levels of the organization articulating key concepts in a concise and succinct manner. Advanced MS Word & PowerPoint skills Possesses superior time management, organizational and communication skills, and the ability to mentor members of the team Able to manage multiple projects with different delivery milestones and scope Preferred Customer-facing product/technology training development experience MA/MS in Instructional Design, English, or related discipline PMP or Instructional Design Certification EEO Statement iCIMS is a place where everyone belongs.
