We are looking to bring on a workforce analytics senior consultant to help lead our client from data to insight, and ensure their customers have the resources and tools to support the understanding of their workforce. The person in this position will leverage a wide range of skills including data analysis, change management, data visualization, survey research, and project management to support HR data users and senior leadership alike in their effective use and decision making around human capital data. As a Senior Consultant (Data Scientist) you will need to have a good understanding of how to extract, transform and load data from various sources. Further, you will need to make sense of this data - specifically HR/Workforce data – and visualize and explain this data. This may entail but will not be limited to producing metrics, dashboards, and theories elucidate the data and what the data means to the organization.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced analytics and innovative data mining -solutions, utilizing CRISP-DM methodologies and incorporating advanced mathematical algorithms, statistics, machine learning, robotics process automation, artificial intelligence and other advanced techniques.

  • Develop and maintain new or existing structures that synthetases data, aggregated from many data sources for data mining and predictive/forecasting models with industry-standard data mining algorithms.

  • Provide context and supporting documentation of findings, techniques utilized, and considered options.

  • Create and communicate analysis findings in consumable formats for stakeholders such as data visualizations, data stories or others.

  • Analyze, evaluate and integrate data mining solutions to complex and diverse data sets.

  • Practice the application of optimum data mining techniques in accordance with appropriate specifications, quality standards, schedule, and funding guidelines.

  • Provide support to primary point of contact on data mining projects or programs and advise all stakeholders on advanced data mining and technical matters, research, and applications.

  • Work collaboratively with his/her cross functional team to develop key questions, create and test prototypes, share findings and iterate to achieve valid and useful models.

  • Develop a myriad of communication materials, including but not limited to: reports, technical presentations to senior management and stakeholders, emails, web content, etc.

  • Develop and deliver data mining solutions.

  • Performing complex data mining tasks independently involving the application of proven data mining principles, practices, and techniques which require knowledge of workforce and related data domains.

  • Analyzes, evaluates, and integrates data mining solutions to diverse problem sets.

  • Advises all stakeholders on advanced data mining and technical matters, research, and applications.



  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (e.g.: IO psychology, HRM, behavioral science, Economic)

  • Minimum3 years of experience in PowerBI developing data visualization tools that highlight the “story” in the data

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working directly with clients gathering input/stakeholder requirements and communication needs

  • 2 years of experience collecting both quantitative and qualitative data from internal or external sources, forming repositories and extracting datasets to be used for modeling.

  • 2 years experience with data cleaning, data normalization, data reduction, data aggregation, data augmentation, data sampling and other techniques to improve modeling outcomes.


  • Experience with HR business understanding, asking business questions, determining requirements and appropriated data mining approaches.

  • Demonstrate experience developing advanced data visualizations, scripts and presenting in Power BI or other comparable tools.

  • Experience deploying models, deployment plans, monitoring and maintenance and documentation.

  • Experience explaining, presenting and translating data science outcomes in plain language.

  • Possess experience with successfully working with functional subject matter experts, IT developers, statisticians, and/or industrial/organizational psychologists in a cross matrixed and project-oriented setting.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills)

  • Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset

  • Proactive approach to anticipate and meet client needs

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.

This role is available virtually for candidates in the Central and Eastern time zones. A strong preference will be given to candidates local to the Washington, DC area.
