Rosario Brothers Agricultural Equipment Operators in Albion, New York

12 fulltime seasonal H-2A jobs available: 3/30/24-11/25/24.

Duties: harvest apples, bin repair, grounds maintenance and hand thinning. Harvest fruits by hand. General farm work.

Operate trucks or other multi purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing whether on or off the farm to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday including on public roads to reach the farm fields; and or transport workers to the grocery store, bank or laundry facilities on an as needed basis.

After 4 days of training employer will expect worker to pick a minimum of 5 bins (100 bushels boxes) of fresh market apples per day with no more than 0% (WNY) bruising and/or 7 Bins (140 bushels boxes) of processing apples per day. Workers are expected to work at least the number of days and hours specified.

Depending on weather, crop or other conditions, workers may be requested, but not required to work up to seven days per week and/or on the Sabbath and up to 12 hours per day. Employer will furnish to workers without cost all the tools and equipment required in the performance of the duties assigned. Workers should report for work with their own suitable clothes. Cell phone usage is limited to emergency use only while working in the field. Requirements:

  • 3 months of verifiable experience.
  • Workers must be physically able to lift up to 75 lbs on a consistent basis throughout the day.
  • Due to health & safety concerns on our farm workers must understand basic instruction in English.
  • Exposure to extreme temps.
  • Extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping and bending.
  • Repetitive movements.
