What You’ll Do This Summer…

  • The Engineering Internship (Summer 2024) is a 10-12 week paid assignment.

  • The internship is designed to provide a student with real world experience to support professional development.

  • Student would have the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions, corporate meetings, networking events and/or community activities.

  • Internship will involve value added projects with opportunity to interact with various departments to acquire relevant skills.

  • Projects would involve applying knowledge to make improvements in an industrial environment.

  • Potential for internship to lead to full time employment after graduation!

    About the Engineering Team…

    The Engineering Team is comprised of technical individuals from various engineering disciplines who work collaboratively to support Beech-Nut Nutrition’s LEED® certified production facility. The team’s core mission is to achieve Reliability Excellence by implementing efficient and effective engineering, maintenance, and operational practices that maximize capacity and productivity. The team works closely with the Supply Chain, Operations and Maintenance Teams to increase reliability processes so we can continue doing what we do best – making high quality, safe, and nutritious foods for babies and toddlers!

    About the Work Environment…

    This position is located at the Amsterdam, New York LEED® certified production facility. Most job functions are performed in a well-lit, environmentally controlled office environment. The candidate will also be required to work in an environment that requires hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection and lab coat. Restrictions include wearing of jewelry, nail polish and acrylic nails. Other personal protection equipment may be required for certain tasks.

    What You’ll Need…

  • Must be registered as a current full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in related field (ex. Packaging Science, Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering).

  • Applicant must be authorized to work in the US for the entire duration of the internship.

  • Prefer at least 3rd year of study has been completed.

  • Must demonstrate a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Above average skills, especially in Excel.

  • Conceptual and practical experience with Lean principles a plus.

  • SAP program experience.

  • AutoCAD experience.

    Rate of Pay: $16.50 per hour and pay is bi-weekly.
