About the Role … 

The Supply Chain F inanc e Analyst is responsible for partnering with their Sourcing and Distribution counterparts to prepare financial reports, data models, and analytics that serve as guidance for Beechnut leaders. This individual performs an integral role in the understanding of results and bringing forth suggested actions that will drive future performance. This individual will also assist in managing corporate initiatives, such as audit compliance and balance sheet reconciliation.

About the Team…

The Finance Team is responsible for managing the internal finances for the Beech-Nut operation. It covers everything from financial reporting and strategy to paying the farmers who are bringing us the very best fruits and vegetables. The team works closely with various internal teams to advise on financial decisions so we can continue doing what we do best – making high quality, safe, and nutritious foods for babies and toddlers!

About the Work Environment…

This is an on-site position that is located at the Amsterdam, New York LEED® certified production facility. Most job functions are performed in a well-lit, environmentally controlled office environment . As a manufacturing location, this position may require one to be in an environment that requires hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection and lab coat. Restrictions include wearing of jewelry, nail polish and acrylic nails. Other personal protection equipment may be required for certain tasks.

What You’ll Do …

  • Provide support for annual Budget, forecast, and actual results consolidation and reporting

  • Perform critical business analysis, which will include regular and ad hoc reporting analyzing results vs targets and forecasted estimates

  • Analyze business performance data by tracking purchase price changes and savings with your Sourcing counterparts

  • Analyze business performance data by working with the Plan & Deliver team to understand logistics cost drivers and to analyze current market data

  • Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements

  • Drive improvement metrics, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards

  • Manage, analyze, and resolve financial data related issues during the monthly closing cycle

  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials

  • Assist in navigating the organization as it evolves its management toolbox

    What You’ll Need…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience

  • Experience working with a Transportation Management System (TMS) preferred

  • Experience with SAP and Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI, Planful Analytics software, or other analysis tool s

  • Ability to work with a reasonable amount of uncertainty and provide best estimates with confidence

  • Ability to collaborate across functions as a business partner and service provider

  • High attention to detail and the ability to translate data into decision making

  • Excellent communication skills and ability be able to retrieve information from a variety of sources

  • An entrepreneurial spirit – be willing to learn and work with Finance counterparts to strengthen financial performance

    Pay: The annual base salary range for this hybrid role is $ 60 ,000 - $ 78 ,000. This is a salaried - exempt position .
