Summer School - Instructional Staff
Dates/Times:
Monday through Friday August 12 - August 16, 2024
Student sessions will be 7:30-9:30 (Session 1) and 9:40 - 11:40 (Session 2) from August 12-August 16, 2024. Teachers will work 7:15 - 11:45 from August 12 -August 16, 2024 to provide Regents Review Classes.
Proctors will work August 19-20, 2024 in accordance with the NYSED Regents Exam Schedule to provide accommodations.
Scorers will work in collaboration with the Summer School Supervisor to set up scoring windows from scoring teams.
Seniority will be used when multiple staff members apply for the same position.
If there is a lack of instructional staff, Lake Shore will not offer regents review and exams.
Teachers would assist in morning breakfast supervision and will be assigned accordinly by the supervisor.

*Hourly Rate:
Teachers - $42.62 per hour
Teaching Assistants - $28.09 per hour
Summer School Preparation - $30.15 per hour
Summer School Clean Up - $30.15 per hour
Summer School Training/Workshops (as needed) $22.51 per hour if after June 30th ($22.07 before)
*Salary as per the LSCTA Contract

If you are new to teaching summer school and currently don't punch in, please contact HR at 716-926-2228 or 716-926-2205 to make an appointment to be processed for the electronic time system.
Attendence:
All positions are contingent upon enrollment, maintenance of enrollment and student attendance. Teachers will not be paid when students are absent. If attendance rate drops during Summer School, staff requirements and needs will be adjusted accordingly. The expectation is that employees will be present for all days. Lapses in attendance will be considered when hiring for future Summer School employment opportunities.
