During the anticipated period of employment, the primary activity on the farm will be the planting, cultivation, and harvest of tomatoes, apples, peaches and cabbage. Duties may include pruning of trees using saws and hand loppers, removal of trees, clean up of wood, hand thinning of apples, weeding, fertilizing, planting of trees and installation of tree support systems. Staking, tying, weeding, fertilizing and field clean up tasks for the vegetable crops. Along with all duties related to washing and packing of vegetables harvested on the farm.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3 months experience in performing tasks described.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Lifting 50 pounds
- Repetitive movements/ extensive pushing, pulling and walking/frequent stooping
