More fully describing this specific position: Applicants must be able to describe tour points of interest to group members and respond to questions. Escort individuals or groups through natural wonder park with 5 miles of walking trails, raft rides, rock climbing, rappelling and via ferrata course. Monitor visitors' activities to ensure compliance with establishments regulations and safety practices. Provide directions and other pertinent information to visitors. Greet and register visitors and issue any required identification or safety devices. Distribute brochures, show audio visual presentations, and explain establishment processes and operations at tour sites. Must be comfortable guiding groups while working at a height of up to 20 meters in the air while wearing a harness secured to cables. Must be physically fit an able to carry 50 pound bag up 200 stairs and able to hike with guests throughout the day. Applicants must have knowledge of the English language and be able to speak with others to convey information effectively. Work days: typically Wednesday-Sunday, 9am-5:30pm, 40 hours/week at $13.10/hour. No OT expected. Overtime, if any, calculated and paid as per applicable regulations. Merit increases and/or bonuses may be awarded at employer discretion. High School Diploma/GED required, no experience is required. Employer willing to accept a trainee; employer will provide on-the-job training. Post-employment random drug testing and background checks may be required, at no cost to the worker. The job requires the applicant to be qualified, ready, willing, able, and available to perform during the entire employment at the designated worksites; to enter into and comply with employment contract; to follow workplace rules; and to meet job performance standards. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. Employer is available to assist workers in securing option housing, but employer does not provide housing. No payroll deduction will be made workers will pay rent directly to a third party. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer.
