General Merchandise Manager; Whether it is beauty and personal care products, health and nutritional items, household items, or the latest in seasonal products, the GM/HBC department is the destination for all of these needs.
What You Will Do: Provide friendly and attentive customer service as you oversee the day to day operations of the department and supervise the department team to achieve sales, gross profit and shrink goals. You will handle ordering, receiving, storage, and merchandising of product; ensuring proper shelf and sales floor conditions and stock levels; and selection, training, development, and scheduling of general merchandise associates.
Skills/Experience Needed: Ideally, you will have previous related retail experience. You will need to be friendly and courteous in order to provide excellent customer service, as well as the ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills and the ability to operate knives and case cutters, computerized scales, scan guns, baler/compactor, and pallet jack are important. Department Managers will need to be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
