Are you looking to transition into the Manufacturing industry? OfficeTeam has an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated Human Resources Assistant to join their team. In addition to being in charge of a number of different personnel related administrative tasks, the Human Resources Assistant will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This short-term temporary employment is with an organization in the Manufacturing industry and is based in the Bayport, New York area.

  • Service employee database records

  • Take part in new employee on-boarding orientation planning

  • Be in charge of administrative and office responsibilities

  • Research the internet to discover potential customers

Requirements

  • Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks

  • Knowledge of Clerical Duties

  • I-9 Audits experience

  • Deep understanding of filing

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration

  • Capability to interact with all levels of staff in a rapidly quickly changing environment while maintaining an approachable and appropriate demeanor

  • Past experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Capable in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
