What you will accomplish together with us
As a skilled trainer you will prepare field sales and application scientists to engage customers effectively.
To meet the needs of the sales organization you will deliver live classroom training for new hires as well as developing seasoned representatives through training events at sales meetings, virtual trainings and field rides.
You must be able to communicate effectively with learners using sound training practices, exceptional presentation skills and purposeful facilitation tactics. You must also be able to explain complex biological concepts in a clear and interesting way.
Each Technical Trainer works with fellow trainers, stakeholders, and various department members to develop training materials and to give the trainees a world class learning experience in each phase of their development. In other words, a trainer must be a first-class team player.
Identify relevant training needs through surveys, observations and stakeholder feedback.
Design training workshops that engage the learner with interactive, participant focused training practices.
Deliver training workshops for new hires as well as product launch events and national sales meetings.
Conduct virtual training sessions using digital tools like MS Teams.
Organize training venues, logistics and accommodations to deliver effective training and onboarding programs.
Collaborate with product management and sales leadership on how to deliver training for new product launches and product enhancements.
Coordinate training events with guest speakers from various departments throughout the organization.
Conduct field rides with Sales Representatives and Field Application Scientists for the purposes of training and evaluating field needs.
Ensure all training activities and materials adhere to organizational and company policies, including health and safety, employment and equality laws.
Commit to the continued professional development, and maintain knowledge in relevant sales and scientific fields at all times.
What will convince us
3+ years' experience in the life science industry either working in a lab or supporting field sales activities
Bachelor of Science in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or related field
Some experience with biophysical characterization (SPR, BLI, ITC, MST, HPLC) is preferred
A background in cell analysis (flow cytometry, imaging, ELISA) is a plus
An advanced degree would be a plus
Experience in drug discovery workflows is a plus
Ability to apply effective training methodologies and tools, effectively engaging with trainees, putting them at the center of learning.
Understanding of protein analysis, laboratory instruments and practices, a background in biologics would be advantageous.
Motivated to stay current on new techniques in corporate training.
Experience conducting virtual training sessions.
Comfortable facilitating large groups of people.
Organizationaland time management abilities.
Must be an exceptional team player.
Proficient in MS Office tools.
Willingness to travel up to 70% including international locations.
