JBay, LLC strives to provide extraordinary hospitality for members of its beach clubs in Breezy Point, NY and are looking for full-time variable (seasonal) associates to join our talented teams for the upcoming 2024 Summer Season. The anticipated first day of work will be in June 2024 and the last day is estimated to be in August 20242. Art InstructorSummary: The Art Instructor is responsible for teaching age-appropriate classes that inspires students’ creative processes and self-expression enhancing the guest experience.ResponsibilitiesInspire creative thinking through art examples and technique demonstration using many types of mediums (paints, crayons, pencils, etc).Be able to problem solve and adapt to the needs of students, modifying instruction as neededProvide student feedback throughout lessons that inspires learning through art mediums; provide additional information to students who need extra guidance or challengesCreate a fun and inclusive atmosphere to engage all participantsProperly supervise students at all times. Manage disruptive behavior to ensure students focus on tasks at hand.Ensure the safety of all students and follow SafeArt practicesMaintain and promote high standards of health and safety in all activities for guest participants. Follow all safety and security rules and procedures.Be a role model to participants in attitude and behavior; set a good example to participants regarding procedures and practices including sanitation, sportsmanship and schedulingCommunicate supply and classroom area needs to managerPolite, knowledgeable, and timely customer service when responding to inquiries.RequirementsAbility to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner, including understanding the development needs of youthVisual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activityPhysical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid.
