JBay, LLC strives to provide extraordinary hospitality for members of its beach clubs in Breezy Point, NY and are looking for variable (seasonal) associates to join our talented teams for the upcoming 2024 Summer Season. This is a seasonal position and the anticipated first day of work is in May 2024 and the last day is estimated to be in September 2024. BartenderResponsibilitiesAccurately and efficiently prepare drink orders for bar and restaurantAccurately and honestly handle cash and credit card transactions including tips and sales reportsEnsure that alcoholic / non-alcoholic beverages are served in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.Stock and re-stock bar items, and inform F & B Manager on needs to replenish inventory as necessaryProvide timely, courteous and professional service to all guestsAdhere to the company’s policy regarding reporting all tips.Maintain all health and safety standards, including the proper sanitizing of assigned areas.RequirementsServSafe or equivalent (TIPS) CertificationMust be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shiftsMust have an eye for detail and be committed to keeping the area sanitized and organizedMust report ALL tips via timeclock as per company policyExcellent communication skills: ability to count change and reconcile paperworkMajority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment and in close proximity to other people.Ability to lift to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally and understand that the position involves frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and turning.Must be able to work entire season, from Memorial Day through Labor Day without any vacation, or time away from work.Always maintain a positive and upbeat attitude to ensure an excellent guest experience.Education & ExperienceEducation: High School Diploma or equivalentExperience: Minimum (1) year in a restaurant establishment Resort/National Park Concession preferredHourly rate of pay $10.65 plus tips (All tips are required to be reported per IRS regulations)All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
