JBay, LLC strives to provide extraordinary hospitality for members of its beach clubs in Breezy Point, NY and are looking for variable (seasonal) associates to join our talented teams for the upcoming 2024 Summer Season. This is a seasonal position and the anticipated first day of work is in May 2024 and the last day is estimated to be in September 2024. Cabana AttendantResponsibilitiesOpen and set up cabanas as needed by guestsAssist guests by carrying belongings to and from cabanas / carsEnsure all empty accommodations are locked at the end of shiftReport missing or damaged items to the cabana attendant supervisor, turn all lost and found items to managementPick up recycling directly from cabanas, sweep decks and steps throughout the dayResponsible for sweeping and picking up trash under and around trash cans against fencing, and disposing of trash in appropriate spacesTimely and efficiently deliver company’s F & B menus and food orders to cabanas as requested.Provide timely, courteous, and professional service to all guestsAdhere to the company’s policy regarding reporting all tips.Maintain all health and safety standards, including the proper sanitizing of assigned areas as requiredRequirementsStrong attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalitiesMust be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shiftsMust report ALL tips via timeclock as per company policyApproximately 90% of workday will be spent outdoorsMust be able to work entire season, from Memorial Day through Labor Day without any vacation, or time away from work.Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs.Always maintain a positive and upbeat attitude to ensure an excellent guest experience.Must be a minimum of 17 years of ageEducation & ExperienceEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent (we accept high school juniors & seniors)Experience: One (1) year of customer service experience preferred Resort / National Park experience preferredHourly rate of pay $13.35 plus tips (ALL tips are required to be reported as per IRS regulations)All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
