JBay, LLC strives to provide extraordinary hospitality for members of its beach clubs in Breezy Point, NY and are looking for variable (seasonal) associates to join our talented teams for the upcoming 2024 Summer Season. This is a seasonal position and the anticipated first day of work is in May 2024 and the last day is estimated to be in September 2024. Café AssociateResponsibilitiesAssist Café Manager and / or lead in ensuring that food and beverage items are prepared and serviced according to recipesClean and maintain all assigned areas throughout shift, keeping all “First Guest Fresh”Work individually and with the team to surpass expectations in an efficient, motivated, and positive can-do manner.Adhere to all company recipes and safe food handling proceduresProvide timely, courteous, and professional service to all guestsFollow all health and safety standards, policies, and initiativesAll other duties as may be assignedRequirementsKnowledge of food preparation, storage, sanitation, and commercial kitchen equipmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalitiesMust be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shiftsMajority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment and in proximity of other peopleMust be able to carry up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting will be required.Must be able to work entire season, from Memorial Day through Labor Day without any vacation, or time away from work.Always maintain a positive and upbeat attitude to ensure an excellent guest experience.ServSafe and / or state food handler certificationMust be a minimum of 16 years of ageEducation & ExperienceEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent (we accept high school seniors and juniors)Experience: One (1) year of Café experienceCustomer Service experienceHourly rate of pay $16.00All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
