JBay, LLC strives to provide extraordinary hospitality for members of its beach clubs in Breezy Point, NY and are looking for variable (seasonal) associates to join our talented teams for the upcoming 2024 Summer Season. The anticipated first day of work will be in June 2024 and the last day is estimated to be in August 2024. Day Camp SupervisorSummary: As the Camp Supervisor you will manage the club day camp program, including but not limited to program development and execution; staff training, scheduling and performance; camper health, safety and security and related administrative tasks.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement camp program for campers aged 3 and above with a progression of activities within the framework of individual and group interests and abilitiesLead activities either directly to campers and / or by training camp counselorsTrain, supervise and schedule seasonal staff based on camper enrollment and program requirements.Apply youth development principles in working with counselors and campers through communication, relationship development, respect for diversity, and involvement and empowerment of youth.Provide the daily care of each camper within your supervision including recognition of personal health needs. Be alert to camper and counselor needs and assist with personal and / or health needs, if necessaryBe alerts to facilities and equipment to ensure utilization, proper care, and maintenance is adhered to. Report repairs needed promptlyRepresent the camp in a positive and professional manner when interacting with parents or othersFollow all health, safety standards, security guidelines, policies, and initiativesAll other duties as may be assignedRequirementsAbility to interact positively with management, associates, and guestsAbility to relate to youths and adults in a positive manner, including understanding of the development needs of youthVisual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activityPhysical ability to respond appr4opriately to situations requiring first aid. Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess strength and endurance to maintain constant supervision of campers.First Aid Certificate with CPR/AED preferredEducation & ExperienceEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in education or related field from accredited college / universityExperience: Five (5) years education and / or camp program execution One (2) year supervisory experience Resort / National Park experienceHourly rate of pay: $32.00All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
