JBay LLC Operations Manager in Breezy Point, New York

JBAY LLC, dba Breezy Point Surf Club & Silver Gull Beach ClubThere is nothing like a day at the beach especially if you happen to work there! JBay, LLC strives to provide extraordinary hospitality for members of its beach clubs in Breezy Point, NY and are looking for variable (seasonal) associates to join our talented teams for the upcoming 2024 Summer Season. This is a seasonal position and the anticipated first day of work is in May 2024 and the last day is estimated to be in September 2024. Operations ManagerSummary of Position: Operations manager will work with the General Manager and Location Manager in ensuring the facility runs according to company standards, to ensure an excellent guest experience.Responsibilities: Work with FM and Location Managers to provide input and implement long and short-range financial objectives to meet profitability goals.Identify and address operational challenges while working with company leadership to ensure consistent delivery of excellent products and the highest level of employee and guest satisfaction.develop new and innovative ways to meet and respond to the needs and demands of the diverse customer base.Regularly walk the property and check for areas of improvement; interact with guests in a congenial and positive manner.Address guest issues and consult / advise the Location Manager and General Manager about appropriate action.Work with other department heads on special projects as may be assigned.Coach and develop Supervisor and Leads to ensure an understanding of job expectations and perform accordingly.Actively participate in company management team meetings contributing to a positive team environment.Support and understand the company's policies, goals and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas.Other duties as may be assigned.Position Requirements:Ability to interact positively with management, coworkers, guests, vendors/suppliers and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive an professional approachMust be organized and detail / task oriented.Possess strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with many types of personalities.Must be calm under pressure, and problem-solve quickly and effectively.Must be able to work days, nights, and holidays when necessary.Proficient with internal business applications and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel.Possess the ability to multitask, (i.e., speak on the phone, work on a computer while handling the public).Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., and perform bending, twisting, squatting activities while being on feet for up to 8 hours per day.Knowledge & Experience:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelors degree from accredited college / university preferredExperience: 5 years successful supervisory/leadership experience required Club/Resort/National Park experience preferred.Hourly rate of pay: $35.00All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
