JBay, LLC strives to provide extraordinary hospitality for members of its beach clubs in Breezy Point, NY and are looking for variable (seasonal) associates to join our talented teams for the upcoming 2024 Summer Season. This is a seasonal position and the anticipated first day of work is in May 2024 and the last day is estimated to be in September 2024Safety & Security AssociateSummary: The Safety & Security associate is responsible for controlling all incoming traffic, monitoring and directing vehicles to the appropriate parking lots, and ensuring guest safety by constant surveillance of the company’s propertyResponsibilitiesStand and greet each car approaching the gatehouse; check each pass holders’ car and ensure all guests have their own passesConfirm that guests of pass holders have the appropriate passWatch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsNotify the office for all club deliveries and guest tours and direct to the appropriate areaKeep events chalkboard current for each week. Announce special events of the day, including any current events on sales. Hand out fliers to all vehicles regarding upcoming events.Maintain guest log and POS register as required by the postInvestigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities in a timely manner.Ensure the safety of the property by never leaving the gatehouse unattendedFollow all health, safety standards, security guidelines, policies, and initiativesRequirementsSuperior customer service skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks efficientlyMust be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shiftsMust be able to work independently and complete a daily list of assigned tasks with little or no supervisionMajority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment. Position involves frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.Must be able to work entire season, from Memorial Day through Labor Day without any vacation, or time away from work.Must be at least 17 years of ageEducation & ExperienceEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent (we also accept high school seniors)Experience: Six (6) months in a hotel / resort setting preferred Resort / National Park Concession experience preferredHourly rate of pay $16.00All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
