Amazon Corporate LLC Process Engineer in Bronx, New York

Amazon is seeking a Process Engineer to support the Amazon Logistics North America (AMZL NA) Process Engineering team. This individual will be responsible for designing, managing and executing the next generation of delivery station processes, equipment, and operations. This is a unique opportunity to own new innovation projects that will advance the intelligence of our last mile business.
Responsibilities:
\* Train Operation and Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) team to increase critical-to-quality (CTQ) business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software, and finance
\* Recommend and implement changes to safety procedures, work methods, and labor standards
\* Project management from conception to completion
\* Assessing and optimizing the processes and equipment used in the Delivery Station
\* Typical projects could include spearheading a redesign effort for the inbound receiving dock, evaluating the ergonomic needs and issues for shipping clerk workstations, or conducting a capacity planning and analysis study for peak season.
\* Train Operations and ACES leaders in design standards, process and quality metrics
\* Review site-level Quality action plans and CTQ Project charters
Assist in root cause analysis of complex Quality defects
\* Provide two-way support by connecting Operations leaders with Core Process Engineering team
\* Assist Operations and ACES team in implementing new rollouts through site-level coordination and communication
\* Travel expectations for the role are approximately 40% of the time.

\* Bachelor's degree
\* 2+ years demonstrated Process Engineering skills
\* 2+ years Project Management skills
\* 2+ years in-depth experience in Logistics, Distribution and Fulfillment processes
\* 2+ years expertise in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other OE tools
\* 2+ years of advanced data analysis skills and an expert in using supporting tools e.g. Minitab, JMP, MS Excel, MS Access
\* 2+ years knowledge standard development tools e.g. AutoCAD, MS Visio
\* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent industrial background
\* MBA, MSc or MEng (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent)
\* 2+ years of experience in a similar process development role, ideally in fast-paced industrial, logistics, distribution, last mile or production/manufacturing environment
\* 2+ years demonstrated success in hands-on process development and improvement
\* 2+ years demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders and the ability to work under pressure in a cross functional organization
\* Certified OE Black Belt, Green Belt or Lean Sensei
\* Experience with simulation and 3D modeling software
