Montefiore Medical Center PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR in Bronx, New York

The Program Administrator assists the Residency Program Directors in managing all aspects of the residency/fellowship programs including supporting all the activities required to maintain proper accreditation for each program. Responsibilities include but not limited to recruitment activities, rotations, event planning, and record-keeping, administrative affairs of the programs, including processing confidential paperwork.

Scope of the various programs:

The Orthopaedic Surgery Residency (30 residents)

The Podiatry Residency (15 residents)

Fellowships in Pediatrics, Shoulder & Elbow, Oncology, and Adult Reconstruction (4 fellows)

Medical Student Rotators (Orthopaedics and Podiatry)

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

Provide administrative support to the residencies and fellowships for the Department of Orthopaedics

Coordinate recruitment season; filtering through applications, scheduling interviews; setting up interview days (event planning)

Monitor resident work hours to ensure compliance with ACGME and NYS 405 requirements and entering them via New Innovations

Maintain rotation schedule including end of rotation evaluations by house officers and attending staff

Oversee budget, processing reimbursements for house staff officers

Coordinate special events such as orientation for incoming residents, annual social events, graduation day

Organize required paperwork for weekly grand rounds conferences, organizing logistics for guest lecturers, submitting appropriate materials for CME credit via EEDS.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask, and excellent problem solving skills

Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

Proficiency with Microsoft Office including the ability to learn education platforms such as ERAS, NRMP, New Innovations, VSLO, CASPRWeb, DPMClerkships, EEDS, SF Match. Expert in telecommunication platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Experience with extracting and analyzing data
