​EY’s Transformation Design & Execution (TD&E) practice works across a variety of industries to help our clients successfully deliver business transformations by connecting strategy and execution. This career opportunity seeks individuals who not only understand the role technology plays in large scale transformations, but who have experience in designing and integrating technology and business processes to produce value driven solutions.

The opportunity

As a TD&E Manager, you will be part of a larger TD&E engagement team serving one engagement at a time. You will work directly with the EY engagement leadership team and clients on a daily basis to plan, design, deliver and deploy solutions for our clients. These solutions often include multiple capabilities i.e. demand intake, demand prioritization, budget allocation, portfolio scenario planning, financial management, program/portfolio/transformation execution, schedule management, risk & issue management, resource management, value planning & realization, KPI definition, performance reporting and data analytics via reporting & dashboards.

From engagement start to finish, the EY team is responsible for a variety of work products which demand a team with a diverse skill set. A common TD&E project may include some or all of the below, for which the TD&E consultant could be involved in each:

  • Maturity assessment, current vs. future state and corresponding gap analysis

  • Target operating model design

  • Designing governance models (including Transformation Management Offices (TMOs), Enterprise Program Management Offices (EPMOs) or Program Management Offices (PMOs)

  • Business process design or re-engineering

  • Capability roadmap development

  • Solution design workshop preparation and facilitation

  • Solution delivery, change management and adoption

  • Technology design and coordination with a remote technology teams on custom development

  • Hands on technology configuration

  • Data analytics, insights and executive reporting (in Excel and BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau)

To become a successful TD&E Manager, you will need to be a self-starter who welcomes responsibility and accountability. Common characteristics include curiosity and willingness to learn quickly on the job, collaborate and innovate in a team setting and demonstrate a relentless focus on quality and attention to detail.

Skills & attributes: to qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree

  • Approximately 5+ years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience leading business functions in at least one of the following areas:

  • ​Busines​s or technology consulting, transformation/PMO/EPMO design, target operating model, process design and re-engineering, maturity assessment, capability roadmap development, strategy and operations, change management, end-to-end technology implementation, data framework and automation & digital design and enablement.

  • Proven success in leading and developing a team of staff/senior consulting professionals

  • Experience in account and engagement management

  • Involvement driving business development efforts. Experience with the end-to-end RFP process (RFP, Response, Proposal, Client Presentation, SOW and Execution) and understanding of client procurement processes. Experience supervising proposal-writing and presenting during RFP process

  • Strong communication skills, especially around breaking down complex structures into digestible and relevant points for a diverse set of clients and colleagues, at all levels

  • Ability to formulate and articulate questions to facilitate a quick understanding of a client’s business

  • Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies and willingness to learn how to configure them

  • Strong intellectual abilities and rigor balanced with practical sense of what works and what does not

  • Strive to lead themselves, their teams, and their communities, and who can foster effective teamwork to drive results

  • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Play an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A bachelors or master’s degree with an emphasis in Business, Computer Systems, Engineering and/or Economics

  • Potential certifications include: Agile, LEAN Six Sigma, Prosci, CBPA

  • Sector experience in areas such as Life Sciences, Technology, Power and Utilities and Consumer Products

  • A valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated (60%)
