Be part of the City Cleanup Corps (CCC) at NYC Parks and beautify public
spaces. The CCC will help promote tourism and confidence in New York
City and drive a recovery for all of us.
NYC Parks is the steward of over 30,000 acres of land — 14 percent of
New York City — including more than 5,000 individual properties ranging
from Coney Island Beach and Central Park to community gardens and
Greenstreets. We operate more than 800 athletic fields and nearly 1,000
playgrounds, 1,800 basketball courts, 550 tennis courts, 67 public
pools, 51 recreational facilities, 15 nature centers, 14 golf courses,
and 14 miles of beaches. We care for 1,200 monuments and 23 historic
house museums. We look after 600,000 street trees, and two million more
in parks. We are New York City's principal providers of recreational and
athletic facilities and programs. We are home to free concerts,
world-class sports events, and cultural festivals. We seek qualified

THIS JOB VACANCY NOTICE IS ONLY FOR CITY SEASONAL AIDE POSITIONS IN
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under direct and close
supervision, with little latitude for the exercise of initiative or
judgment, performs general work.
EXAMPLES OF TYPICAL TASKS
• Perform light repair and general maintenance work in building and
grounds of various public structures. • Use hand and powered grass
mowers and other equipment. • Pick up litter, rake debris and dig pits
and ditches and remove snow and ice. • Clean interiors and exteriors of
structures. Perform sidewalk and road depression repair work. • Adjust,
lubricate and make minor repairs to equipment and machinery. After
appropriate training operate, maintain and winterize the chlorination
and filtration equipment in indoor and outdoor swimming pools. • Aid in
the operation of chemical sewage treatment apparatus and auxiliary
equipment. • Assist in providing informational, educational and safety
services to the general public in person and over the telephone. •
Complete simple reports on activities performed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS While there are no formal education or
experience requirements, certain programs may require such standards.
Good physical condition is required for certain programs.
1. Ability to work flexible hours, nights and weekends as needed.
Residency in New York City, Nassau, Orange, Rockland, Suffolk,
Putnam or Westchester counties required for employees with over two
years of city service. New York City residency required within 90
days of hire for all other candidates.

be subject to an $88.25 background check fee.
