Kforce Cyber Security Project Manager in Brooklyn, New York

Kforce has a client seeking a Cyber Security Project Manager in Brooklyn, NY.Summary:A seasoned project manager is required to support NYC Cyber Command leadership in the management and optimization of its portfolio of established citywide cybersecurity programs, and evolving suite of cybersecurity controls deployment. These programs have significant complexity across many City agencies, stakeholders, other cybersecurity entities in government and the private sector, and our information-sharing partners. The PM will work directly with NYC3 program managers in Urban Technologies, Threat Management, Security Sciences and Operations, its FTEs, consultants and vendors.Additional Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with legal, contracting, finance, and communications teams to manage multi-functional team coordination

  • Opportunity screening

  • Develop RFI and RFP

  • Benefit/cost analysis

  • Vendor selection

  • Work plan scheduling

  • Budget oversight

  • Contractor management

  • Issue resolution

  • Reporting and project closeout functions

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience overseeing medium to large scale projects

  • 4 years experience working with cybersecurity professionals/practitioners

  • PMP or equivalent certification

  • Willingness to travel within NYC for key meetings

  • Proficient in managing projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies

  • Experienced in developing RFI, RFP, benefit/cost analysis

  • Facilitate effective communication between project/program stakeholders

  • Normal business hours are Monday-Friday and 35 hours per week (not including mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work); If working more than 35 hours per week, the consultant must request OT in agency's timekeeping system and the PM must approve hours worked above the weekly max
