The Director of Marketing is to lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies for the affiliated marketing arm of a Grocery Retail Corporation in Brooklyn, NY. Duties include: Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics and trends, cost and markup factors, competitive analysis, and customer behavior; Oversee the management and enhancement of the company and private labels of company brands, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand image across all marketing materials; this includes managing the online presence of the company brand, including website, social media, email marketing, and e-commerce strategies to drive online and in-store sales; Formulate, direct, or coordinate marketing activities or policies to promote products and services, including: plan and execute marketing campaigns to promote specific grocery products, seasonal items, and special offers; develop and oversee advertising campaigns, both online and offline, such as print, radio, TV, and online ads; create and manage customer loyalty programs, ensuring customer retention and repeat business; collaborate with store managers to design and implement in-store promotions, displays, and signage to enhance the shopping experience; develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction; Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, or return-on-investment and profit-loss projections; Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum return on investment; Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing staff and oversee their daily activities; build and manage a high-performing marketing team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure successful execution of marketing strategies; Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, and services, analyzing business developments; continuously monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, using data and metrics to make data-driven decisions; Negotiate contracts with vendors or distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks or developing distribution strategies; establish and maintain relationships with marketing agencies, suppliers, and partners to leverage external resources effectively; Coordinate or participate in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services; Initiate market research studies, or analyze their findings; Confer with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement or royalty sharing with outside producers or distributors; Conduct economic or commercial surveys to identify potential markets for products or services; utilize market research and customer feedback to identify consumer preferences and market opportunities, adapting strategies accordingly; Recommend modifications to products, packaging, production processes, and other characteristics to improve the environmental sustainability and general marketing of products; Advise stores within the corporation on local, national, or international factors affecting the buying or selling of products or services; Manage public relations efforts, including media relations and crisis communications, to maintain a positive public image; develop and oversee community engagement initiatives, including local sponsorships and partnerships, to strengthen each store's ties to the community; Develop plans for new store openings, assessing the potential of new locations using specific tools and techniques.•Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Organizational Management, Marketing, or similar (Foreign Equivalent accepted);•Minimum of 3 years related work experience in business development and/or marketing.The candidate must be willing and able to:•Have advanced industry knowledge, including: understanding the dynamics of the grocery retail, and/or related industries, including market trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape.•Retain a deep understanding of customer preferences, shopping habits, and the factors that influence purchasing decisions in the grocery sector and/or related industries.•Be proficient in various marketing strategies, including digital marketing, content marketing, traditional advertising, and in-store promotions.•Have the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze marketing data and metrics to make informed decisions and optimize marketing campaigns, in order to cater to a strict budget and maximize return on marketing investment.•Be proficient in market research techniques, including surveys, focus groups, and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies.•Have advanced knowledge of public relations practices, media relations, local community engagement, and relationship management with suppliers and external partners.•Retain understanding of online digital marketing practices, including marketing channels, SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media marketing, and e-commerce strategies.•Have the ability to utilize the following technical programs and tools:-Claritas 360;-Placer.ai;-Google Analytics;-Meta Ad Center;-Similar Web Analytics; -Advance Excel;-Advance Power Point. 40 Hours per Week: Generally 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Hours Adjusted for Additional Work as Necessary to Keep within 40-Hour Workweek; If Employee is Required to Work Any Overtime, They Will Be Paid Per Federal Overtime Rules)
