HistoWiz Operations - Inventory Associate in Brooklyn, New York

HistoWiz is the largest online histopathology company based in New York City. The Role

The Inventory Associate will assist the Inventory Manager in day-to-day operations as well as project management, in an effort to improve workflows and increase overall work efficiency of the HistoWiz team.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers

  • Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products and consumable reagents

  • Maintain digital inventory tracking system and assist in the training of staff for inventory roles

  • Performing quality checks on stored inventory and evaluate inventory options across vendors

  • Updating inventory tracking and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders

  • Tracking costs and preparing critical data for decision making around inventory strategy

  • Providing general office support as needed for day-to-day operations

  • Development of job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, independent research, and maintaining personal networks


  • BA or BS in scientific, operations, or engineering related field

  • Experience in an administrative or similar role

  • Excellent computer and technology proficiency

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Excellent listening and communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust to quickly-changing priorities

  • Experience working in a startup and/or biotechnology company preferred
