New York University Part-Time Instructor, Global Innovation in Brooklyn, New York

The Department of Technology Management and Innovation at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering invites applications for a part-time, non-tenured instructor in global technology-enabled innovation, with a start date of January 23, 2023.

We invite applicants to teach one or more graduate or undergraduate courses. In particular, we presently seek instructors for the following courses:

MG-GY 7953 Global Innovation

Course Time: Flexible (one weekday/week for 2.5 hours)

This course focuses on global technology-enabled innovation. Topics covered include accessing global sources of innovation, coordination and organization of activities worldwide, new product development globally, the role of revitalized global R&D, growing prominence of IT and e-Business in global innovation and the role of alliances and linkages with customers, suppliers and other third parties.

You should be an excellent teacher. You should have a graduate degree (terminal preferred) in Business/Management or a closely related discipline and a record of teaching experience which covers topics that include:

Management of emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, internet of things; issues, theories and dilemmas in global innovation; how organizations can become more innovative; accessing global sources of innovation, coordination and organization of activities worldwide; identify, evaluate and discuss key theories, frameworks and models in relation to global innovation; identify, evaluate, and analyze firms’ challenges to access, transfer and use globally dispersed knowledge.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the contact hour rate for this position is $149.25. This rate is based on the collective bargaining agreement with Local 7902.
