TuneCore Project Management Office Manager in Brooklyn, New York

Founded in 2006, TuneCore changed the game by partnering with digital stores to allow any musician to sell their songs worldwide while keeping 100% of their sales revenue. Today, TuneCore is the world?s leading digital music aggregator. Believe Group acquired TuneCore in 2015. Believe Group is an artist-centric digital music platform. Its mission is to best serve and develop artists at all stages of their careers. A wide transformation program has been launched in the past months to ensure the integration of TuneCore with full usage of Believe Group back-office capabilities, to achieve the quality of service at the best cost while respecting the TuneCore business model specificities. In this context, TuneCore is looking for a senior PMO to lead this program locally in the US, in close coordination with Believe?s Strategic Projects Department located in Paris, France.

The activity of the PMO Manager is to lead the entire integration program on behalf of TuneCore, including the change management aspects. Your main mission will be to manage two pillars:

1) Prepare, secure, and monitor the execution of all integration streams with the US-based TuneCore project resources

2) Communicate and coordinate your actions with Believe?s Strategic Projects team, especially with the Program Director

The PMO Manager will define and effectuate disciplines of a PMO Charter to successfully achieve project governance and oversight, facilitate cross-functional execution on projects, effective reporting and communication to senior management and stakeholders, risk management and mitigation, and ensuring overall alignment to the company?s strategies.

The PMO Manager will implore the specialized skills and abilities of a seasoned Project Management Professional (PMP), including Project Management, Change Management, and Cross-Functional Program Management, into a blended SDLC/Agile environment to achieve the aforementioned results.

Your role as PMO Manager is to deliver the Program by helping collaborators (business teams & project teams) reach their objectives regarding integration and execution of planned strategy. To this end, you will foresee and anticipate scenarios that may arise in order to propose the best solutions and prioritized actions as early as possible.

You will also help project managers to synthesize or collect information in order to fluidify the actions undertaken by the teams. In this respect, you will ensure the coordination and consistency of the different integration roadmaps, in collaboration with the different teams. With a 360 vision, you will also ensure that all related topics are covered, and clarify any areas of risks and/or missing items.

Change management will also be a significant part of your duties, where we will expect you, in coordination with the Believe team, to document existing processes related to the back office functions and systems, identify the gaps, propose relevant evolution and ensure implementation and training on these new processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the project management office (PMO) objectives and vision, develop and implement methodologies and solutions to achieve the objective of the PMO, and specifically the integration program.

  • Lead large scale projects with multiple interdependencies.

  • Continually communicate and collaborate with the management teams as it pertains to the statuses and risks of deliverables.

  • Responsible for assuring and managing all project documentation, which should be updated regularly and available to management and stakeholders.

  • Ability to understand and establish appropriate techniques and/or methodologies for each project and/or workstream (i.e. right-sized PM solution for size and scope of projects ? there will not be a one-size-fits-all solution).

  • Work with project stakeholders to conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation and contingency plans.

  • Establish and facilitate proper governance of decision making as well as a review of project deliverables.

  • Liaise with Product and Business Owners to identify requirements, priorities, and quantify risks.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Experience in fast growth, technology-based company

  • Experience in international, multi-cultural companies

  • Experience managing cross-border programs/projects

  • Superior management skills and ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers with the ability to build strong high performing teams.

  • Business acumen for identifying opportunities and making reasoned decisions in a changing business environment

  • Critical thinker and change leader; ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage numerous projects.

  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interface as a key member of the management team.

  • Strong knowledge and expertise in working side by side with product development, technology, stakeholders, and management.

Education:

  • BS/BA degree

Knowledge/Certifications:

  • Agile development methodology

  • Project Management Professional or Prince 2 certification.

  • Knowledge or experience with copyrights and DMCA a big plus

  • Knowledge or experience with digital security and fraud a big plus
