The Department o Biomedical Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Research Scholar to join an exciting short-term project for summer 2022, developing new biotherapeutic formulations to advance cartilage repair. New York University (NYU) is one of the top private universities in the United States, and the Tandon School of Engineering, located in Brooklyn and Manhattan, has the distinct history of having been known previously as Brooklyn Poly and the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering.

This project involves a collaboration between researchers in the Schools of Engineering and Medicine, on development of biotherapeutics based on glycosaminoglycan-protein interactions. Candidates will be responsible for biochemical and cell biology experiments to develop and exploit a glycosaminoglycan-binding peptide for tissue engineering and repair, and will perform work in a multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will be driven, creative and team-oriented with a passion for science.

We are seeking individuals with an MS degree and strong background in engineering, biochemistry, cell biology, and/or related field. Eligible candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
