Police Athletic League Van Driver in Brooklyn, New York
The Police Athletic League (PAL) is the largest independent youth organization in New York City that provides educational and recreational activities for children and young adults. PAL Inc. and The New York City Police Department work in partnership to provide communities with summer and after-school recreational and educational activities.
We're looking for a part-time Van Driver who is responsible to coordinate and supervise any and all transportation of equipment from department to department. Work closely with staff in coordinating and mobilizing goods, services, and children. Take part in all special events and fundraisers as required. This position is a part-time afterschool/summer camp position.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
Arrange the loading and unloading of equipment.
Create routing and delivery schedules.
Assist in all mobilization of special events (Help set up & take down)
Responsible for the storage of all department goods and equipment.
Maintain truck and associated equipment.
Pick up children from various schools and drop them off at the center.
Handle any job necessary with facility permission.
Maintain good communication skills between staff and agency
Always must remain alert and work with care and caution
Knowledge of moving equipment and loading of trucks
Always maintain a good driving and safety record
Delivery and pick up of donations.
A valid Driver's License.
Minimum H.S. diploma/GED.
Minimum of two years of driving experience.
Ability to use GPS to determine the best route for the day.
Excellent organizational and time management ability.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
