The opportunity

You and your team will support and enhance our Clients' commerce solutions. We'll look to you to provide our clients with unique business and technical perspectives on what needs to be done to efficiently maintain and extend their solutions using monitoring, automation and other ITIL ITSM-based processes. Your key responsibilities

As an Adobe Commerce Managed Support Tech Lead, you will lead transformative change by solving technical problems and providing solutions for our customers who are using the Adobe Commerce ecommerce platform.

More specifically, you will:

  • Manage a global team of developers to resolve sometimes urgent issues in a timely manner.

  • Perform code reviews to satisfy both Adobe and EY's code quality standards and best practices.

  • Write design documentation and user stories based on customer requirements.

  • Estimate and delegate tasks to developers and global team daily.

  • Promote teamwork and lead daily standups and conversations with business owners and users.

  • Develop and modify code for the commerce solution when needed.

  • Automate tools, processes and technology to allow for greater engineering throughput, quality and progress.

  • Ensure all components are documented.

  • Support and troubleshoot production issues.

  • Lead team members in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership and accelerators to differentiate EY in the Digital and Emerging Technology Advisory market.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or Mathematics or related field of study and 3 years of related progressive post bachelor's experience or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or Mathematics or related field of study and 2 years of related experience.

  • Must have 3 years of professional services or consulting experience

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on professional experience managing the full lifecycle of Adobe Commerce Cloud (formerly Magento Enterprise) sites including:

  • Planning and executing deployments and cloud configuration

  • Extensive background in the administration of products, promotions, search, extensions, customers, etc.

  • A strong understanding of the Magento data model

  • Maintenance of product patches for both Commerce and third-party extensions

  • Know when and how to use the Magento CLI to perform administrative and system related tasks.

  • Familiarity with the PageBuilder CMS

  • Must have 3 years of experience leading teams of Technology professionals

  • Knowledge of git and branching strategies as well as how to run and administer Jenkins jobs

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as you will be communicating both with clients, technical resources, and quality assurance daily.

  • Good PHP knowledge and familiarity with PHPStorm and other commonly used development tools

  • Basic knowledge of React-based JavaScript development preferably using the PWA Studio or Next.js frameworks

  • Flexibility to be on-call and work non-standard hours

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience with headless Magento implementations

  • Ability to set up alerts and monitoring in New Relic or other monitoring tools.

  • Maintaining applications in containerized environments such as Docker

  • Writing VCL snippets for Fastly CDN

  • DevOps skills related to managing applications in Azure

  • Current Adobe Commerce Cloud or Business Practitioner certifications
