The Opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a Strategic Analytics Intern to join our team at our Global Headquarters in Buffalo, New York for summer of 2024. Are you an energetic undergraduate or graduate student who’s seeking an incredible paid internship program? Delaware North internships are paid and can be completed for academic credit. This internship is a hybrid role which will be based in our Buffalo, NY office a few days per week.

Pay

Minimum pay rate: $17.00 / hour

Additional Details

• Interns will be part of the Strategic Analytics Leadership Development Program, housed within the Revenue Management

• Program dates are May 29 - August 9, 2024 (summer internship with the potential for subsequent internships)

• Intern Orientation will be held at Buffalo Headquarters date & time TBD

• Up to 40 hours per week

• In-person internship, Buffalo, NY, with the opportunity to work virtually based on team projects

• All Summer 2024 interns will participate in the Delaware North Intern Experience

• This is a paid internship: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

• The interview process will begin in Fall ’23, with offers expected in late ’23 or early ‘24

• Interviewees can expect to complete multiple interview rounds and a case study throughout the interview process

Responsibilities

• Perform project-based analyses of real-world business questions under the direction of department leadership

• Extract, manipulate, and visualize data across different platforms

• Collaborate with Business Partners within and outside of the department to drive analysis forward

• Present findings and recommendations to different audiences and at different times with an emphasis on effectively informing stakeholders with the necessary information to make critical business decisions

• Other tasks as assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4 year college degree or higher in Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Advanced Mathematics, Business or a related degree

• Junior, Senior, or Graduate Standing

• Strong analytical skills

• Familiarity with at least one relational database (SQL experience preferred)

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask

• Self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A willingness to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
