The Travel Team, our esteemed full-service travel provider, delivers exceptional travel experiences to corporate, group and leisure customers around the world.The many entities of REG are owned by Rich's, a family-owned food company working in 100 locations globally with annual sales exceeding $4 billion.To learn more, visit www.richentertainmentgroup.com.Purpose StatementThe Cook's primary responsible of the cook is to prepare, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, or other assigned menu items.Key Accountabilities and OutcomesInspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practicesMay assist in planning menus and in devising means of using left-over foodsTurn or stir foods to ensure even cooking; observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing with utensilsSeason and cook food according to recipes and use personal judgment and experienceWeigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to designated recipesPortion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patronsRegulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roastersCarve and trim meats; bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods; Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables; bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastriesPrepare relishes and hors d'oeuvresKnowledge, Skills, and ExperienceHigh School DiplomaExperience in food preparation and service, at least 1 to 2 yearsActive listening skills and good reading skills; Ability to work from written menus and standard recipesThorough knowledge of the materials, methods, and equipment used in preparing food on a large scaleServe Safe or comparable certificationKnowledge of food values, menu planning, and uses for left-over food; Ability to take inventory and keep records of food usedWork well in a team environmentCOMPENSATIONIn accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"),reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.
