Buffalo. South Buffalo Charter School. CUSTODIAN POSITION - 2nd SHIFT
Custodian Duties & Responsibilities: Keeps building and property clean and orderly Performs heavy cleaning duties Sweeps, mops, scrubs & vacuums floors Gathers and empties trash Scrubs, sanitizes and refills supplies in restroom facilities Dusts furniture, walls and equipment Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture Notifies Supervisor regarding the need for repairs or additions to building Must be willing to help with snow removal when requested (may include mandatory overtime, will be compensated)
Qualifications/Skills: Ability to stand, walk, bend for many hours. Ability to perform repetitive motions for long periods of time. Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers and cleaning solutions. Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals. Ability to paint rooms/hallways as needed. Must have a NYS Drivers License, reliable transportation High School Graduate or GED Reliable transportation is a MUST
Benefits:: Health Insurance/Dental/Life Insurance Vacation/Sick/Personal Time Off/Paid Holidays 403B/Roth w/employer match (pending hours requirement) Pay Range - $16.46 - $17.50/hr. . This is a 3 pm-11pm work shift. Overtime is permitted, needs pre-approval, NO weekends (except during inclement weather) Summer Hours July & August are 7 am 3 pm 30 minute lunch with (2) 15 minute breaks (Paid by the school)
