Position Summary:

The Dishwasher is responsible for keeping service stations clean during shifts, and thoroughly cleaned for future shifts, including sanitizing dishes, plates, glassware, equipment, and utensils. The Dishwasher is responsible for timely and courteous service in his/her own station and also for assisting with sanitation in other parts of the restaurant. The Dishwasher will also cleaning and janitorial service at the close of business or prior to opening as directed by management.

Job Duties:
*Daily responsibilities include tasks related to providing other employees and their guests with clean *and sanitized utensils, plateware, and glassware, ensuring dishes are clean and available as needed
*Operates the dishwashing station, handles sanitation chemicals (Ecolab), and improves overall cleanliness in the kitchen and service stations
*Maintains and sets up dish machine during opening shifts and shuts down machine during closing shifts
Organizes and manages clean tableware in specified shelves according to sanitation and cleaning procedures
*Sets up lined trash cans in employee restrooms, prep cooking lines, and dish room
Supports the kitchen cleanliness by sweeping/ mopping floors and emptying trash
*Troubleshoots any dish machine issues or errors and reports major issues or malfunctions to management
*Set-up/breakdown and continual maintenance of cleanliness in dining room, service stations, storage, dish area, and restrooms including sanitation of service stations, booster seats, high-chairs, tables/chairs & floors
*Must be dressed in clean Company approved uniform at all times

Education/ Experience:
*12+ months of experience in a similar sanitation, dishwasher, or service support role
Previous high-volume restaurant or hotel experience a major plus

Required Skills/Abilities:
*Working knowledge of cleaning materials, methods and practices used
*Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
*Experience using light and heavy cleaning/sanitation equipment.
*Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate English.
*Must be able to pass dishwasher training and validation.

Schedule Requirements:
*Schedule may fluctuate based on departmental requirements
*This is a seasonal position running from approximately April through September.
