We are actively recruiting for an Early Career Program Manager to join our University Recruiting Team!

As we continue to see record growth, attracting and hiring the best talent is one of the top priorities at Applied Materials. Our University Recruiting Team is looking for a strategic minded, data savvy program manager to collaborate with leaders across the organization to attract, recruit, and develop the next generation of leaders, innovators and game changers. This role will be a key contributor on the University Recruiting team in all early career programs such as Applied Materials’ summer university internship program, year round co-op program, military, diversity and all future programs for early career talent.

The ideal candidate must thrive in a highly dynamic environment and have the capability to influence decision making through storytelling. Key Responsibilities:

Decision-Making

  • Work with business leaders to design early career recruiting strategies - from brand awareness to programs and initiatives - to generate the excitement that attracts and recruits the best-suited talent to Applied Materials.

  • Make data-driven recommendations and decisions for early career recruiting strategies, goals, and activities with a 1-2 year planning horizon.

  • Develop strategy and training for Applied Materials’ early career initiatives to educate, train, and engage the business in the talent acquisition process (benchmarking, targeted school selection, event management, creative engagement ideas, etc.).

  • Partner with the Culture of Inclusion (COI) team to implement recruiting strategies for sourcing and integrating female, diversity, and veteran new college graduate and intern candidates.

Innovation

  • Develop strategy and training for internal campus representatives, including benchmarking, targeted school selection, and event management.

  • Manage a matrixed team of campus representatives for all University Relations efforts (outreach, sourcing, and hiring efforts).

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to gain buy-in for university and early career investment and activities.

  • Serve as subject-matter expert regarding university relationships and early career recruiting.

Knowledge:

  • Campus event management

  • Early career, diversity, and military hiring cycles, sourcing, recruiting, and candidate management

  • Applicant tracking tools (Workday) and sourcing & CRM tools (Avature, LinkedIn, SeekOut etc.)

  • Best practices and benchmarks for early career recruiting

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • 7+ years of early career recruiting experience, such as experience with technical hiring and university recruiting.

  • Experience with early career programs, diversity programs, and military/veteran programs highly desirable.
