Arcadis USInc Environmental Engineering or Scientist Intern - Buffalo, NY in Buffalo, New York
Arcadis is seeking a motivated student working towards a degree in Environmental Science or Engineering for our Buffalo, NY office. This is a *paid* internship opportunity for a dynamic individual looking to jumpstart their career growth in environmental consulting. The position offers an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of environmental projects in Arcadis' Environment and Water business lines, work with a great team, and join a successful growing organization with a reputation for high quality work and top-notch employees.
Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Review of environmental regulations in support of audit and other report writing
- Site characterization and logistical support on various studies
- Data compilation and analysis
- Report writing
- Coordination with junior staff, project managers, and senior staff
- Organize and track project documentation, regulatory reports, and plans.
The time commitment for this internship is flexible, but likely to be 40 hours per week during the summer. The candidate will be willing to learn new techniques; be open to a wide range of experiences; be reliable, hard-working, independent, analytical, and organized; and be able to take direction in a fast-paced environment. This position may require some local travel and field work. Ability to provide own transportation a plus but not required. Continuing the internship into subsequent semesters is possible based on availability and performance.
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior working towards BS in Environmental Science or in Civil, Environmental, Industrial, or related engineering discipline
- Experience using database software, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Prior internship experience in an environmental firm.
