The role of the Production Specialist is to execute the order processing and manage the day to day activities to support the global production strategy for New Era. The Production Specialist will work closely with the global factories and cross functional groups at New Era and is responsible for effectively managing pre-season and in-season activities to the delivery of cost effective/quality products within the time and action calendar windows. The Production Specialist reports directly to the Senior Manager of Global Production.

* Work closely with Senior Manager of Global Production to execute global production goals
* Collaborate with cross functional groups to ensure on time delivery and quality shipments
* Work closely with strategic business units, design, customer service, quality, logistics and distribution to deliver timely communication on order status
* Work closely with global factories on day to day communication
* Provide follow up and attend weekly meetings with the Senior Manager of Global Production to review capacity, order allocation, and shipment reports
* Ensure production time and action calendars are followed and critical milestones are met
* Work closely with Global Sourcing; make sure production tech packs have been clearly reviewed with the sourcing team before purchase order issuance
* Ensure sales orders are entered with appropriate conditions to perform purchase order execution
* Ensure purchase order data (delivery dates, pricing, ship mode) is reviewed and maintained to provide timely and accurate information to entire organization
* Maintain info records and source lists for all master data
* Ensure that all KPI targets for New Era Global Production teams are achieved by regular monitoring of the progress reports and critical path management
* Identify and resolve potential manufacturing issues
* Review and track pre-production samples through collaboration with Sourcing and Product Teams to ensure product is produced to desired specifications
* Work closely with business unit on demand evaluation process for seasonal programs
* Execute purchase orders, PO placement and order confirmation
* Review weekly Work in Process Reports (WIPs) from factories to ensure on time delivery and identify any potential production delays
* Review delivery extension requests with Senior Manager of Global Production to determine best course of action for product not meeting the desired time and action calendar
* Work closely with Quality to resolve any product quality issues occurring during production
* Work closely with Logistics during pre-booking process to ensure proper lead time, ship method, and destination is achieved
* Review purchase requisitions on a weekly basis to ensure all product needs are executed
* Keep all sensitive matters confidential

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Behavior
* Knowledge of manufacturing and product, trade regulations, product integrity, production cycle timeline, and time and action calendar management
* Ability to establish and maintain credible relationships with suppliers, customers and employees with proven results in obtaining on time delivery and quality shipments
* Knowledge of basic production standard operating procedures
* Understanding of manufacturing and planning processes
* Understanding of how the functions of the position effect organizational financials though excellent order execution and service
* Understanding the order entry process of distinct product categories and the effect of this on the position

Education and Experience
* 3-5 years' experience preferred; preferably within a Global Production/Sourcing function within a multi-national company
* Bachelor's degree required; degree in business, supply chain, or related is preferred
